In English
Hestia is Zeus's sister. As the protector of the family hearth,
Hestia, protects the families and the home. She was worshiped by every
family in ancient Greece. Hestia grew tired of the arguments and disagreements
of the Olympian gods and left Olympus. That does not mean that she was not important
for the ancient Greeks. Hestia almost never got involved, like the other gods,
in human wars and affairs.
Her place in Olympus was given to Dionysus.
