Greek Mythology - The Trojan War

Chapter 6

Menelaus and Agamemnon
Ο Μενέλαος και ο Αγαμέμνονας

In English

After Paris and Helen left, the gods sent goddess Iris (Ίριδα) to Crete, to give the news to Menelaus that his wife was gone. Menelaus disappointed and upset that his wife and Paris betrayed his trust, went straight to his brother Agamemnon (Αγαμέμνονας), king of Mycenae. Agamemnon accepted his brother with love. Atreas' sons sat and talked. Agamemnon advised his brother to contact other kings and heroes of Greece and declare war on Troy. Menelaus agreed with his brother.
