In English
Zeus heard that the goddess of knowledge, Metes (Μήτις or Μήτιδα), was
pregnant and she would give birth to a boy and a girl. The Fates (Μοίρες) told him
that the boy would be very strong and smart and he will dethrone him. Zeus
listened to what the Fates said, and decided to avoid this by swallowing Metes.
As the days were passing by, Zeus had a headache that was growing stronger.
He called Hephaestus. He opened his father's head and Athena came out!
Athena is a warrior goddess. She is the goddess of wisdom, science, protector
of the cities and the Greek heroes. She is beautiful, strong and unbeatable. She is always
holding her spear ready to fight. Athena gives advice to the heroes. She
helps the people acquire knowledge. She is also known as the best in weaving.
The girls of ancient Greece loved her for that.
The gods respect Athena. She is Zeus' beloved daughter and she is
always next to her father, ready to give him advice or to execute his orders.
