In EnglishOdysseus' ship left from the land of the Cimmerians. They returned to the island of Circe to bury the body of Elpenor. There, Circe sat down and advised Odysseus of the dangers that he would confront. Early the next day they left. When they were at open sea, Odysseus told his companions that they are about to pass by the island of the Sirens. The Sirens were women that with their beautiful songs, were magically drawing the sailors to their island and then they were killing them. Odysseus plugged his companions' ears with wax and instructed them to tie him up in the mast. If he was screaming to be let go, they would tie him up tighter. Not long after he was tied up, he heard the songs of the Sirens. He started screaming to his friends to release him. But they could not hear him. Then, he started making signs to them with his face and hands. But as they were ordered, they tied him up tighter to the mast. They passed the island of the Sirens and only then, Odysseus was freed from the mast. Now they had to face another danger... In GreekΤο καράβι του Οδυσσέα άφησε το νησί των Κιμμερίων. Όχι πολύ αργότερα που τον έδεσαν, άκουσε τα τραγούδια των Σειρήνων. Άρχισε να φωνάζει στους φίλους του να τον ελευθερώσουν. Αλλά δεν μπορούσαν να τον ακούσουν. Έπειτα, άρχισε να τους κάνει νοήματα με το πρόσωπο και τα χέρια του. Αλλά όπως διατάχτηκαν, τον έδεσαν πιο σφικτά στο κατάρτι.
