Lesson 4

Vowels and Consonants


   Here is an easy one. The 24 letters of the Greek alphabet are divided into two parts. The vowels (öùíçåíôá) and the consonants (óõìöùíá).
  There are 7 vowels and 17 consonants. They are:

Table 4.1
Vowels (Öùíçåíôá): á, å, ç, é, õ, ï, ù.
Consonants (Óõìöùíá): â, ã, ä, æ, è, ê, ë, ì, í, î, ð, ñ, ó, ô, ö, ÷, ø.
