Yahoo Media Player.
We have embedded "Yahoo Media Player" in our pages. With Yahoo media Player
you can hear the audio files just like before, but you do not need to leave or adjust the page at all!
The player will appear in the lower left corner of the browser, when the page loads.
You do not need to download anything.
A small "play" button will appear in front of the links with audio, just click it to play.
In some of our pages you'll see 2 play buttons; clicking either one will play the audio file.
Let us know if you like the new feature by going to facebook or sending us an email.
The new player will appear only if javascript is enabled in your browser.
Not tested in iPhone. If the audio does not work in your phones, turn off Javascript in phone's browser to enable default media player of your phone
Yahoo Media Player / Audio Files do not play in Smart Phones
We have tested "Yahoo Media Player" in Droid phones. The audio plays as long as Javascript and Plug-ins are enable
This might also work in other smart phones.
To enable Javascript open your default browser (the browser that came with the
phone).
Click the settings icon on your phone choose "more" and then "settings".
Click "Enable Javascript". Then Click the Arrow next to "Enable Plug-ins". Choose "Always On".
Now your browser should start playing the audio files without leaving the page.
Not tested in iPhone. If the audio does not work in your phones, turn off Javascript in phone's browser to enable default
media player of your phone

enable.

Sound files don't play.
We have recorded our sound files in MP3 format. This is a very popular format
and every player can play the files. Most modern browsers will handle the sound files
with their own software called plug-ins. If your browser does not play the
sound, make sure that your player (Quick Time, Media Player,
Real Player, etc) is up to date. Ensure that you set up the preferences in your player
so that MP3 sound is enabled. If this does not work, download the newest version of a player.
Some links are:
Quick Time, or Real Player.
Sounds open in a new Window.
We program the site so when you click on a sound file (Play button) a new window
pops up or a new tab opens. The new window or tab have your player's console, and it will play the file. After the file
is played, you can play it again instantly, as many times as you like.
If a new window opened we recommend that
you make the sound window small enough that does not distract you from your study, and
big enough so you can see the player's console. Do not close the second (sound) window until
you finished listening to sounds.
If you prefer tabbed browsing many browser will switch to the new (audio) tab every time you click on a sound file.
We recommend that you change your browser settings to open new windows instead of tabs.
In Safari you can make a new window by right clicking the sound tab and choose "Move tab to new window".
If your browser opens your music player just make the player smaller.
We have found that Firefox is the browser that works better with audio, if you install the Quick Time plug in. You can download
Firefox for free at
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/
My Internet Explorer downloads audio files instead of playing them.
To fix that click "Start" then "Default Programs", "Change auto
play Settings". Go down to
"Audio Files" and change the selection to "Take no Action" or "Ask me every time"
Use mini Windows Media Player for audio.
If you are using Windows Media Player to listen to the audio you can set it up to open the
mini player when playing mp3 audio. This way it will always be out of your way.
To do this open Windows Media player Click "Tools" then "Options".
Click the "Player" tab and then make sure that the "Start the mini player for the file names that contain this text" is checked.
In the text box under it delete "voiceatt.wav" and type ".mp3" without the quotation marks.
Click "ok" and you are ready to go.
If you want to maximize your player after you finish studying, just click the arrow on the
lower right corner of the player.
I played the sounds and now my browser opens in a small window.
When you played the sound files you probably resize the second window to make it
smaller. Modern browsers "remember" the last changes a user made. Maximize the window
by clicking the maximize button on the top right corner of your browser. To prevent
this from happening again avoid resizing the second window that opens
when you click to hear a sound.
