The Wedding and the Fight
In EnglishPerseus had to return to Seriphos. After the fight in Cepheus' palace, he did not stay there for very long. He took his bride, Andromeda, and they returned to Seriphos. There, his mother was forced to hide from Polydectes. She hid in Zeus' temple. Polydectes thinking that Perseus would die from Medusa, pursued his dream. He tried to force Danae into marriage with him. Perseus was very upset. He found Polydectes in the yard of the palace. Polydectes was surprised seeing him alive. Perseus said to him that he accomplished the task. " I don't believe you" said Polydectes, and he started to make jokes with his friends. " You don't believe me? Here is the proof..." and our hero took Medusa's head out of the pouch. Polydectes and his friends turned into stone for ever.... In GreekΟ Περσέας έπρεπε να επιστρέψει στη Σέριφο. Μετά τη μάχη στο παλάτι του Κηφέα, δεν έμεινε εκεί για πολύ καιρό. Πήρε την γυναίκα του, την Ανδρομέδα, και επέστρεψαν στη Σέριφο. Εκεί, η μητέρα του είχε αναγκαστεί να κρυφτεί από τον Πολυδέκτη. Ο Περσέας ήταν πολύ αναστατωμένος. Βρήκε τον Πολυδέκτη στην αυλή του παλατιού. Ο Πολυδέκτης ήταν έκπληκτος που τον είδε ζωντανό. Ο Περσέας του είπε πως εκπλήρωσε το έργο. " Δεν σε πιστεύω" είπε ο Πολυδέκτης και άρχισε να αστειεύεται με τους φίλους του. " Δεν με πιστεύεις; Εδώ είναι η απόδειξη..." και ο ήρωάς μας έβγαλε το κεφάλι της Μέδουσας έξω από το σακί.
